ClannadNagisa, Tomoyo on reverse. From some anime mag.
Di Gi CharatBought from the actual "Gamers" (Akihabara) store in person! This was back when "Di Gi Charat" was only animated as the original (and still the best) 16 shorts.
Utawarerumono poster calendar postcard set.I was told this came with a version of the PS2 game. I'm not an Utawa or Leaf fan, but I've always liked Mitsumi Misato's pop anime style.
xxxHolic, KamichuPencil boards
UtawarerumonoClearfile, part of the larger set to the right,
Mushishi (anime)Ginko walking across a snowly landscape, cut out of my Mushishi DVD box. It was a cardboard filler piece that became useless as I started filling the box with actual DVDs, so I tacked it up.
Mushishi (live action)Promo poster for a movie I never watched :p
Narita Records - Terminal (CD)Very cool CD case for an average compilation album from a defunct Merck-spinoff label.
Event Studio Precision 8The gangsta shit, but they're pretty good in practice.
Dell 2409WFP (24") LCDGreat colors, great viewing angle, bad input lag. Desktop:BG
Gedo Senki (Ghibli's Earthsea adaptation)Not the greatest flick, but cool dragon poster anyway.
Kei's Gallery (artbook)Beyond the Vocaloid there are some seriously wild crazy illustrations in here. He/she is one of those artists who go crazy with arbitrary, ultra-saturated digital colors & lighting.
Yoshitoshi Abe artbookA very substantial book packaged in a box with the coolest cover art (of which an alt version can be seen on the book cover when the top of the box is removed)
The Art of Angel's EggSadly many of the inside pages are full of movie screencaps rather than lush Yoshitaka Amano drawings. I have the R2 DVD and the CD soundtrack somewhere. Ripped & made a torrent of both (tokyotosho) back in the day... even though the movie encode is obsolete at this point, the CD rip is still worth grabbing.
Okami artbookGigantic artbook that reflects the supermassive production of this supermassive game. This game has been (and continues to be) a big influence on my Renzu project starting with Across the Threshold.
random Yoshitaka Amano artbookI mean, you have to have one at least.
Jin Roh wallscrollI'm not crazy about Jin Roh (or wallscrolls for that matter) anymore but this thing's pretty cool, I could never summon the will to take it down.
Mini-Patopromo poster. Mamoru Oshii, you so crazy
Rozen MaidenMy guilty pleasure. No, the series isn't very good. I'm just amused to death by the idea of an angsty protagonist tormented by a bunch of frilly dolls come to life.
Honey & CloverYou can't be my friend if you don't like this anime.
Jubei-chan 2Back when Daichi used to make great shows like J2
Patlabor2x Noa. Cut them out of a Patlabor book.
PatlaborAsuma & Noa, Noa & Griffon. Cut these out of a Patlabor book.
xxxHolic clearfile.Just how much Holic stuff is this guy planning to collect?
ornate xxxHolic & Clamp pencilboards. You'd think I'm the biggest fan in the world, but nice-looking Clamp graphics are easy to find.
Natsume Yuujinchou pencilboard.Mushishi lite.
Tokyo Godfathers, Di Gi Charat, Millenium Actress, Bartender, Avalonyeah, Bartender for the lulz and shit.
Suzumiya Haruhitransparent laminated thing
Tales of SymphoniaLloyd, with Colette on the reverse side.
Cut A Dash - Esquisse MelangeMitsumi Misato full-color doujinshi. Not pornographic.
MushishiA sort-of doujin-print, single page. Ginko & Renzu.
Vampire Princess MiyuThe TV series soundtrack (along with Kenji Kawai's other high-profile soundtracks) has been a constant influence on my work.
Shamisen on the realexcept for the yellow lego piece.
Ef: A Tale of Memoriesposter from a mag. Great though rather bizarre series.
ComputarAn aging quad-core (Q6600) rig.
Das KeyboardThe clickiest, clackiest keyboard of them all. What can I say, I love novelties of otherwise mundane items.
Grado SR-325iA great headphone..... after a treble cut and bass boost anyway. I've since replaced it with an AKG K701 and a DT770Pro for recording.
Akai APC40oh no, not one of these things!
Korg ESX drum machine, CME MIDI keyboardThese and the APC are for the live rig more than this desktop studio. They're just hanging out here for now.
RME Fireface 400awww yeayuh. Too bad it's so expensive, I can only afford to share one between my desktop and my live rig.
Samson CL8 condenser micIt's suitable.
Ride & china cymbalsyou've heard these around my tracks
multimedia speakerseventually to face the wall or something so I can have a crappy consumer reference
Martin Logan Dynamo subwooferbehind the desk. Full-range monitoring, thank god
Kurzweil SP88xgreat keys, just needs more technological singularity
$5 garage sale hand drumYou've heard this around, most prominently in Omamori masquerading as a "big drum"
Oh that poor wacom tabletnot seeing much use lately
Some Yamaha mixerthat I've since replaced with a Presonus Monitor Station
